Every regulated room and casino in the US, listed state by state — with the paperwork, not the hype.

Long read

iGaming Informer

Updated We read the operator paperwork

The iGaming Informer was a weekly column of short notes, written while the American market was opening and nobody knew which state would be next. One edition weighed the leisurely pace of Nevada’s online poker rollout against a fresh batch of New Jersey licences; another covered the Delaware launch and the revenue coming out of social casinos; another followed the lengthening list of problems at Caesars Entertainment.

21+. Play only where your state regulator allows it. We take a commission from some operators; it never moves a room up the list. Gambling problem? Call the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738).

The running theme was the distance between what was announced and what actually went live.

Individual editions are not kept in this archive. What the column tracked week by week is held here as standing pages instead, one per state and one per operator, each carrying the date it was last read against the register.

  • New Jersey — the market the column followed closest.
  • Nevada — the first state to license online poker.
  • Industry — the operators and suppliers behind the launches.
