Who writes Naughty Poker
Updated We read the operator paperwork
Every page on this site is signed Naughty Poker editorial desk. That is not a formality and it is not a pen name for one person: a state page is rebuilt whenever a register entry, a bonus rule or a cashier page changes, and the signature has to mean the desk that keeps it current rather than whoever typed the first version.
21+. Play only where your state regulator allows it. We take a commission from some operators; it never moves a room up the list. Gambling problem? Call the National Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738).
How the work is divided
- Market pages — one person per state follows the register, the regulator’s notices and the launch and closure announcements.
- Operator files — the terms, the bonus rules, the cashier page and the responsible-gaming page, read in that order and quoted rather than summarised when the wording matters.
- Law and bills — bill texts, committee records and filings; nothing here is reported from a press release alone.
- The desk editor reads the page against its sources before it is published and owns the correction when it is wrong.
Archive material keeps its own authorship
Most of this site is reporting from the US market of the past decade. It is kept because the links to it are still live and because the record is useful — but it belongs to the publication that produced it. We do not put our name on it, we do not re-date it to look fresh, and we do not invent a reviewer for it. Where an archive page needed editing, the edit is the kind described in our editorial policy: broken markup, dead links, and claims about testing that nobody can verify.
Corrections and contributions
If a page is wrong, write to [email protected] with the address and the document that shows it: corrections are made on the page itself.
If you want to write for the desk, the terms are on the commissions page. Documents and tips go through send a tip.
